Who is Hu Yitian?
Hu Yitian was born in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China, on 26 December 1993 – his zodiac sign is Capricorn and he holds Chinese nationality. Hu is an actor probably best known for his starring role in the web series “A Love So Beautiful”, in which he appeared alongside Shen Yue and Yaodong Zhao – the film follows two 17-year old high school students who are neighbors and in love with one another; it won five awards and was nominated for one other. Hu is also credited with singing the movie’s original soundtrack (OST) “It’s a Dream”, and for his performance in the film he won an 11th Tencent Video Star Award for Most Promising Actor, a 9th China TV Drama Award for New Generation Young Actor Award, and was nominated for a 24th Huading Award for Best Newcomer.

Childhood and education
Hu was raised in Hangzhou an only child by his father who is working at a telecommunications company, and his mother who is a secretary. Hu was physically very active while attending high school, as he excelled at soccer and also played basketball, however, his parents wanted him to pursue a college degree, which is why he didn’t launch himself into a career in sports. He attended Hangzhou Wanxiang Polytechnic College from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in landscape architecture in 2015, but around the same time he was noticed by a modelling scout, and started working as a model before launching his acting career.
Career as an actor
Hu’s first role was in the short film “Cat Tree” shot in 2016, while his official debut appearance was in 2017 when he portrayed Ou Jun in the TV series “Rush to the Dead Summer”, which starred Cheney Chen, Shuang Zheng and Hingting Bai, and follows a group of young people attending high school. In the same year, Hu appeared in the short movie “A Gentle Place”.
The year 2018 saw him play the lead role in the short movie “One Day”, followed by his participation in the Chinese variety show “Twenty-Four Hours”.
In 2019, Hu was cast to play Wu Bai in the e-sport romantic comedy series “Go Go Squid!”, which starred Xian Li and Zi Yang, and follows a smart girl who is in love with a former prince of the school – the movie was a success as it won 11 awards and was nominated for 10 others. In the same year, he took part in the variety show “Magical Chinese Character”, and is credited with singing its eponymous OST.
In 2020, Hu appeared in two movies – “Handsome Siblings” and “My Roommate is a Detective” – while he has recently been cast to appear in several upcoming films and TV series set to be released in 2021, some of which are “Unrequited Love”, “Rose in the Storm” and “Go Go Squid! 2”.
In 2017 Hu won a 24th Cosmo Beauty Ceremony Award for Beautiful Idol, and in 2018 won an L’Officiel Fashion Night’s Influence Award. He won his most recent awards in 2019 – a Lizhi Annual Gala Award for Voice of the Year, a Cosmo Glam Night Award for Person of The Year (Love), and an 8th iQiyi All-Star Carnival Award for Most Promising Artist.
Hu Yitian’s Scandal Update
In 2018, a woman known as Bei Yebei uploaded a video on the internet featuring Hu going into her hotel room. Along with the video, she uploaded a voice recording in which they are talking about drugs put into her drink, and how she voluntarily drank it while being aware that there were drugs in it.
In the recording, Hu can be heard talking about his “A Love So Beautiful” co-star Shen Yue, and mentioning how she isn’t pretty enough. A year later in March 2019, Bei Yebei claimed that she wasn’t planning on hurting Hu and that he hasn’t said anything to hurt Shen either (although it can be heard in her recording) – Bei has also apologized to Hu.
Love life and girlfriend
Hu has been trying to keep his love life away from the media’s attention, but after his sex affair with Bei Yebei went public, Hu’s ex-girlfriend Li Xi started mentioning Hu in her posts on a variety of social media networks and called him ‘A dog that can’t stop eating poop’. She also claimed that Hu has uncontrollable lust, and that he only thinks with the bottom part of his body.
Another girl accused Hu of sleeping with her and then leaving her and even blocking her ‘phone number. This happened in April 2017 when he invited the girl to his room to play a video game, however, he started kissing her when she arrived and they had sex – after it ended, he started texting on his phone and almost immediately left for Hangzhou. The girl in question hasn’t revealed her identity, but took a picture of Hu while texting, and uploaded it onto the internet.
Hu currently appears to be single, hasn’t married and doesn’t have children.
Hobbies and interests
Hu likes to spend his free time outdoors, mostly in nature, and often uploads pictures taken at various attractive natural locations onto his Instagram account. He is very active as he often runs and plays sports, but as he isn’t a fan of gyms, he hasn’t so far set foot in one. Hu is not a big fan of parties either, but doesn’t mind going to one from time to time although he avoids drinking alcohol, except for the occasional beer.
He plays the guitar and the drums, and was for two months in a band while he was attending high school.
He enjoys watching Hollywood movies late at night ,and his favorite actor and actress are Robin Williams and Julia Roberts, while some of his favorite movies are “Patch Adams”, “Runaway Bride” and “Notting Hill”.
