Early life and education
Kim was raised an only child in Seoul by his father who is a theatre actor, and his mother who is worked as a cashier at a local supermarket. Kim became interested in acting at a very early age but was urged by his parents to focus on obtaining a college degree, so that he could earn a lot of money.
Things changed for Kim when he was noticed by a modelling scout at the age of 16, while still attending high school. With his parents’ permission, he began modelling and has been doing it to this day. He was physically very active while attending high school, as he played various sports and also went to the gym several times each week. He eventually convinced his parents that modelling could earn him enough money, and that he didn’t want to attend college.
Career as an actor and a model
Kim has only acted in two TV series – “My Amazing Boyfriend” and “The Bride of Habaek” in 2017. The latter was a spin-off from the series “Bride of the Water God”, and starred Shin Se-kyung, Nam Joo-hyuk and Krystal Jung – the story follows Ha-bek, the water god, who is in search of three power stones which are on Earth, while the semi-god Hu-ye, the water goddess Mu-ra and the wind god Bi-ryeom are trying to stop him.
Kim is currently signed to Bananas modelling agency in Paris, France, the agency I LOVE in Milan, Italy, and to the agency Choiii in Seoul. He has walked the catwalk for many famous brands, and has been featured in numerous magazines, with some of the most popular having been “Vogue Girl Korea”, “L’Officiel Hommes Korea” and “GQ Korea”, among others.

Kim hasn’t talked about any girls he might have dated, as he prefers to keep details of his personal life to himself, however, there are many rumors circulating the internet regarding his past affairs, and his sexuality.
There are rumors claiming that Kim has dated several girls with whom he has posed during his photoshoots, but that he has only once been in a long-term relationship – it’s believed that it lasted for two years from 2013 to 2015 when the two broke up because of jealousy issues.
