Childhood and education

Sohee was raised an only child in Busan by her mother who is teaching at a local high school, and her father who is a car salesman.

Sohee was very active in early age as she spent most of her free time outdoors with her peers, playing sports and running around. When she enrolled at Samsung Girls’ High School, she began reading girly magazines and watching K-pop groups perform on TV. She started attending a music school at which she was mostly focused on practicing her vocal skills, while she also practiced dancing and acting. She matriculated in 2013, and then pursued her singing career rather than to enroll at a college.
