Career as a singer and her group CLC
It was announced by Cube Entertainment that in 2015 it would be launching a girl group – CLC, which stands for ‘Crystal Clear’ – and that it would be made up of Yeeun, Eunbin, Elkie, Sorn, Seungyeon, Yujin, and Seunghee – five of the seven girls including Yeeun were back-up dancers of the Canadian singer and actress Gina Jane Choi at the time of the announcement. Before their official debut, the girls performed in the streets, and donated the money gathered to children with disabilities, and this helped them gain recognition even before their official debut.
On 19 March 2015, they released their debut extended play (EP) “First Love”, with the song “Pepe” as its lead track, and to promote it they performed in Seoul at the Acts Hotel.
Shortly after, the girls were invited to compete in the South Korean music competition show “M Countdown”. CLC released their debut digital single on 16 April, entitled “Eighteen” and started promoting it the following day – their second EP followed on 28 May called “Question”, with the song “Curious (Like)” as its lead single, which they performed in the show “M Countdown”. They went on their first overseas tour – “First Love Promo Tour in Malaysia” – on 10 October, and released a special version of their second EP “Question” to promote the tour.
They used the leap year 2016’s 29th February to release their third EP, “Refresh”, with the song “High Heels” as the lead track.
The girls performed in Japan for the first time on 13 April and released their debut Japanese EP “High Heels”, made up of Japanese versions of the songs they had previously released. Their fourth EP came out on 30 May called “Nu.Clear” with the song “No Oh Oh” as the lead song, and their second Japanese EP followed on 27 July entitled “Chamisma”, which reached #9 on the Oricon Daily Album Chart.

Another fan meeting called “2017 Cheshire Entrance Ceremony” was held on 27 May at Seoul’s Olympic Hall Muse Live. The girls’ new EP “Free’sm” made up of six songs came out on 3 August, and was mostly inspired by two South Korean girl groups – S.E.S. and Fin.K.L – who performed in the ‘90s. For the lead single of the EP, the girls used the song “Where Are You?”
On 1 February 2018, CLC’s new digital single “To The Sky” came out, promoting their new EP “Black Dress” which was released on 22 February. They held their first solo concert called “Black Dress” on 1 April, and all the money earned was donated to the Diabetes Association.
