Career as a singer and the group Astro
The Astro boys were signed to the agency Fantagio, and were known under the name iTeen Boys prior to their debut – Fantagio announced in August 2015 that the boys who were part of their Fantagio iTeen program would debut as the boy group Astro, and in the same month, the six boys – Eunwoo, MJ, JinJin, Sanha, Rocky and Moonbin – starred in the series “To Be Continued” to promote the group.
They starred in another show “Astro OK! Ready” in January 2016.
Astro debut recording was on 23 February 2016, with the release of their first extended play (EP) “Spring Up”, with its lead song “Hide & Seek”. In only a week, the EP peaked at #6 on the US Billboard World Albums Chart, and at #4 on the South Korean Gaon Music Chart. Their fan club was founded not long after called “Aroha”, which stands for ‘Astro hearts all fans’. In March, Astro was invited to attend LeTV Entertainment Awards held in China, the only South Korean artists to be invited.
On 1 July, they released their new EP “Summer Vibes” with its lead single “Breathless” – the EP reached #6 on the Billboard World Albums Chart, while the single peaked at #21 on the Billboard World Digital Songs Chart.

Throughout October and November, Astro performed around Thailand, Indonesia and Japan, meantime on 10 November releasing their third EP “Autumn Story”.
The boys released their debut full-length album “Winter Dream” on 22 February 2017, together with its lead single “Should Have Held On To You (Again)”, but due to problems with Fantagio’s contracts, they weren’t allowed to promote the album in music shows. Their new EP came out on 29 May entitled “Dream Part.01” with the song “Baby” as its lead single.
On 15 July, Astro embarked on their first tour called “The 1st ASTROAD” performing in South Korea and Japan. They held their first online concert “2020 ASTRO Live on WWW” on 28 June, and on the same day, their new digital single was released entitled “No, I Don’t”.
Most recently on 14 August, Fantagio reported that Yoon San-ha and Moonbin would be forming the first Astro sub-unit, and that their first album has already been recorded, scheduled for release in September.
Past affairs and girlfriend
Fantagio has put a dating ban on all the Astro boys, and this is believed to be the reason why Eunwoo hasn’t talked about the girls he might have dated, nor if he is seeing someone today. He has, however, talked about his ideal type of a girl, stating she would have to be wise and intelligent, and that she and him would have to have similar interests.
He has also talked about the way he would express his love for her. He has recently found a restaurant by accident which has a good vibe and a great view of Namsan Tower – it’s a very romantic place, and has good music. Eunwoo would take his girlfriend there, gift her a necklace or a ring while he confesses his love to her.
As of August 2020, Eunwoo is single, hasn’t married and doesn’t have children.
Hobbies and other interests
Eunwoo likes to learn, regardless of the topic, and is believed to be the smartest member of Astro. He can play a variety of musical instruments such as the violin, flute, guitar and the piano. Eunwoo is keen on listening to music, and prefers South Korean musicians rather than American – his role model and the person who he looks up to is the actor and singer Seo Kang Jun. He is also interested in acting and has launched his acting career in 2016 when he appeared in the web series “My Romantic Some Recipe”, before being invited to play a supporting character in the drama “The Best Hit” in 2017 – he has also appeared in the series “Revenge Note”.
Two of the dramas he has appeared in are “Rookie Historian Goo Hae-Ryung” and “My ID is Gangnam Beauty”.
If he hadn’t become a singer, Eunwoo would have been a TV anchor, a doctor or a teacher.
He is physically very active as he trains at the gym several times a week, thus his muscular body, and he also plays various sports with his Astro friends, such as soccer and basketball.
Age, height and net worth
Eunwoo’s age is 23. He has black hair and brown eyes, his height is 6ft (1.83m) and he weighs around 161lbs (73kgs).
As of August 2020, Eunwoo’s net worth has been estimated at over $200,000.
