Saiki Atsumi wiki bio
Saiki Atsumi was born in Yamanashi, Japan on 8 February 1994 – her zodiac sign is Aquarius and she holds Japanese nationality. She is a singer, probably best known for being a member of the girl band Band-Maid founded by Miku who was working at a maid café and got the idea of forming a girl band which would comprise girls dressed as maids.
Childhood and education
Saiki was raised as an only child in Yamanashi by her father who was a woodcutter, and her mother who was working at a lawyer’s office.
Saiki had a rather normal childhood, spending most of her free time with her peers, playing with dolls and occasionally playing video games.
She became interested in music at the age of nine, and around the same time began attending a music school at which she practiced her vocal skills. Upon enrolling at a high school at the age of 14, she formed a school band with several other girls, but they soon disbanded and so she went solo. Saiki was very active during her teenage years, spending nearly all of her time outdoors either at school, working or singing. She matriculated in 2012, and didn’t enroll at a college but focused on her singing career.
Career as a singer and the band Band-Maid
After Miku decided to form Band-Maid in July 2013, she found out on the internet that Kanami Tono was a singer and a songwriter, and so invited her to join the band – Tono suggested Akane Hirose who became the band’s drummer, while Hirose then suggested Misa, who is today the band’s bassist.
The girls made their debut performance at Osaka Deep on 24 July 2013, and then held an audition to find a fifth band member, and Saiki was eventually chosen – they debuted as a five-girl band on 22 August, performing at the P Festival held at Tokyo’s Shibuya-AX.
